Sleeping Warrior Ugali & Saucer – Day Hike, Camping

Located within the shores of lake Elementaita, this hill resembles a warrior lying face up hence the name. This is a moderate hike that provides a great view of the rift valley and scrounging lakes within the trail. 

The hike starts off on the shores of Lake Elementaita and snakes its way across the sandy plains where the ascend begins on the breast of the sleeping warrior hill formation. Amazing views of the greater rift valley and surrounding hills and lakes is visible from the top.  

Camping options at the shores of Lake Elementaita are available. There are also several hotels that dot the area which provide alternative accommodation and gourmet meals.
